Fraternity & Sorority Life Advising

The Fraternity & Sorority Life Advisor (FSA) serves as the advisor for the Interfraternity Council, the Panhellenic Council, the National Pan-Hellenic Council and Multicultural Greek Council

Often called the "Greek Advisor," this professional works closely with campus administrators, the North-American Interfraternity Council (NIC), National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), staff at intern/national headquarters offices, chapter volunteers, and other campus staff. The FSA helps ensure that chapters and councils are staying abreast of changing national policies and trends, supports their development and sustainability at WMU, and helps foster students' leadership roles on campus.

At Western Michigan University, the FSA (or Assistant Director of SALP) is supported by a Graduate Assistant for Fraternity & Sorority Life. For advising assistance, please contact the Fraternity & Sorority Life Graduate Assistant.

The FSA's office can be found in 223 Bernhard Center, in the administrative offices for Student Activities & Leadership Programs. The Graduate Assistant's office is located on the Bernhard Center's main floor, directly across from the Bigelow Cafeteria.
