The paper I made in GPS1500 with glitter and flowers
Today, in Intro to Graphic and Printing Sciences, we had the opportunity to make our own paper. First, we had to gather organic or natural substances, such as string, flowers, leaves, and grass. Then, we had to go to the paper making lab in Parkview Engineering campus. We learned how to turn on and operate a machine that makes paper. We put water in, put paper mix in, added recycled material, and added our own material. Then, we put our paper through two types of presses and dryer, and just like that, within ten minutes, our paper was done. It was such a cool experience and its even cooler to realize how many different unique operations occur day to day at Parkview. Engineering students at WMU have so many unique opportunities!
