2012 Sorority Formal Recruitment

Hey Broncos! I hope everyone who went through sorority recruitment had a great time. Congratulations to all 138 women who joined sororities.

During recruitment, my job was to serve as a Recruitment Counselor, or Rho Gamma (it’s Greek to me, too). This job is similar to being a Fall Welcome leader, where campus leaders are assigned to help about ten students get acclimated to campus, but this time, it was to help them find a sorority to call home. I co-led a group of six girls and they were wonderful, and one even joined my sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi.

Bid night was the best part because the new Greeks and us Rho Gammas get to “run home” to our chapter’s location on the Waldo Stadium football field, revealing our letters. It was a great experience, and so much fun.

I am including a picture of my entire chapter, including the new women, on bid day. Greek Life is an incredible opportunity to take advantage of while you are at WMU—there are endless opportunities for volunteer hours, leadership opportunities, life-long friends, and so much more.

I am off to get some homework done, have a great weekend and make sure you cheer for the football team tomorrow!

It’s a great day to be a Bronco,
