Turkey Trot 5K Race at WMU

Hey Broncos! I just finished the 2012 Turkey Trot. It was my second time doing it because I did it last year too. It was awesome!

Surprisingly, I was not the only person wearing a goofy turkey hat. Even though it was 28 degrees when it began (and felt much colder), it was worth it and a lot of fun.

I ran it with two of my Alpha Omicron Pi sorority sisters and we saw lots of WMU students we knew from classes and student organizations. Money was raised for Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes, a nonprofit organization in Kalamazoo that provides families with food.

The coolest part about this all is that this was my 12th 5K for charity in the last 12 months! I feel like a real runner and a real philanthropist. I am posting a picture from the race.

Have a great day Broncos!
Erin
