ITT Technical Institute Student Information

Western Michigan University encourages ITT Technical Institute students to connect with the Admissions Office to discuss degree options, next steps and questions about potentially transferring to WMU. Application Process:

1. APPLY
Apply for admission to WMU. ITT Technicial Institute students may use the fee waiver code ITT190317 to apply online.

2. SUBMIT UNOFFICIAL ITT TECH TRANSCRIPTS
Send your ITT Tech transcript to transfer-scholars@wmich.edu to receive an evaluation. You can request official transcripts for ITT Tech from Parchment, but they may not be available for 2-4 weeks. Until then, we will utilize the unofficial transcript to begin discussions.

3. SUBMIT OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS
Request that official transcripts be sent to WMU Admissions from each college/university you have attended, including ITT Technical Institute. Transcripts may be sent electronically, via fax or via mail.

4. CONNECT WITH FINANCIAL AID
Admissions will connect you with a Financial Aid representative as part of the review process. Please complete your 2016-2017 FAFSA as soon as possible (WMU code: 002330) so that our representative can have an accurate and specific conversation with you. If you would like to speak with them before you apply for admission, you may also call (269) 387-6003 and identify that you were an ITT Tech student. It is up to students to ask the proper questions regarding loan forgiveness of Financial Aid prior to enrolling for classes.

5. LEARN ABOUT YOUR CREDITS AND DEGREE OPTIONS
Admissions will connect you with your academic department of study as part of the review process. Departments will complete a special review of your transcript and will also discuss the details of program options and pathways with you after we have received all of your transcripts.
