2013 Competitive Transfer Scholarships
The Competitive Transfer Scholarships require that you submit all documents for admission, including up-to-date transcripts, to the Office of Admissions and postmarked by March 1, 2013. Recipients of these scholarships will be selected by the Transfer Scholarship Selection Committee and notified in April 2013. For all Competitive Transfer Scholarships, recipients must be U.S. citizens or legal residents and transferring from a Michigan Community College.

Distinguished Community College Honors Award
Value: $6,500 ($3,250 a year)
Criteria:
- Minimum 3.75 transferable GPA
- Completion of associate’s degree before entering WMU
- At least 26 transferable credit hours completed by March 1st deadline
- Most recent work must be from a Michigan community college
- Awarded to 20 students
Community College Scholars Award
Value $5,000 ($2,500 a year)
Criteria:
- Minimum 3.5 transferable GPA
- At least 26 transferable credit hours completed by March 1st deadline
- Most recent work must be from a Michigan community college
- Awarded to 20 students
Phi Theta Kappa Alumni Scholarship
Value $4,500 ($2,250 a year)
Criteria:
- Minimum 3.5 transferable GPA
- Requires Phi Theta Kappa membership in good standing for consideration
- At least 26 transferable credit hours completed by March 1st deadline
- Most recent work completed must be from a Michigan community college
- Awarded to one student per Phi Theta Kappa Chapter
