WMU Assessment in Action Days Conference 2013
Please join us for the Fourth Annual Western Michigan University Assessment in Action Days Conference on March 20-22. The conference, sponsored by the Office of the Provost and the Office of Assessment and Undergraduate Studies, is free of charge and registration for the workshop sessions is not required. This year's conference will be in a different format than previous years and will include several days of workshop sessions geared toward specific audiences on the topic of assessment of student learning.
Dr. Barbara Walvoord, Professor Emerita at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, will be facilitating all of the workshop sessions as well as providing the keynote address.
She has consulted or led workshops at more than 350 institutions of higher education throughout the U.S., on topics of assessment, teaching and learning, and writing across the curriculum. She has also written several books on the topic of assessment and is highly recognized as an expert in this field. For more information about Dr. Walvoord, click here.

Who
WMU Assessment in Action Days Conference 2013 is for all faculty, staff and graduate teaching assistants.
What
Learning opportunities on various assessment topics will be provided. All sessions are designed to be workshops so plan to bring along your assessment plans, syllabus for the courses you teach, exams, surveys, other assessment instruments, and any other pertinent assessment data to the sessions. You will have the opportunity to reevaluate what you are currently doing with assessment and update plans and processes with the guidance and advice of Dr. Barbara E. Walvoord, who will be leading each of the workshops. And for those new to assessment, guidance and advice will be provided on how to begin this process. When and Where
The conference will take place on Wednesday, March 20 through Friday, March 22. There are several venues for the conference this year. For a complete schedule including venues and room numbers, click here.

There is no RSVP required. Plan to attend any sessions that are of interest to you.
