Dennis joined the College of Aviation in 2000 as a Jet Orientation Course academic and synthetic flight instructor. To serve in this position, he was certified by the U.K.’s Civil Aviation Authority as a multi crew co-operation course instructor. Currently, Dennis instructs in the college’s Jet Equivalency Training program and provides labs for a variety of other AVS courses. Prior to joining the college’s staff, Dennis served as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force until he retired in 2000 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
During his time in the Air Force, Dennis flew the C-141 and achieved qualification as an instructor aircraft commander. His assignments included two tours of duty at the Air Force’s C-141 formal training center where he was able to provided classroom, simulator and flight instruction. Dennis’ students included ab initio students transitioning to the C-141, as well as students upgrading to aircraft commander and flight instructor. In addition, to his bachelor’s degree from Lutheran University, Dennis was awarded a Master of Arts degree in management from Webster University.
