Just as Orville and Wilbur did on that eventful day back in 1903, you as well have taken a giant leap forward in your pursuit of a career in aviation. Welcome to Western Michigan University's College of Aviation, one of the pre-eminent programs in the entire nation. Students interested in pursuing a degree in aviation at Western Michigan University who live in the following states - Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Wisconsin - qualify for a reduced tuition rate. Western Michigan University is now part of the Midwest Student Exchange Program, which qualifies prospective students from the participating states to study aviation at WMU for a reduced tuition rate. The program will begin with the Fall 2016 entering new undergraduate students majoring in the College of Aviation only.

This unique program presents a fantastic opportunity for students living in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. The reduced tuition rate will provide students from the participating states the opportunity to pursue aviation at one of the nation's leading programs. Students interested in becoming a professional pilot, pursuing a degree in aviation maintenance while earning their airframe and powerplant license, or earning their Bachelor of Science in aviation management and operations, have the chance to attend WMU and qualify for the MSEP. Coupled with the opportunity to qualify for in-state tuition after one year, Western Michigan University becomes an incredibly affordable place to earn a degree in aviation.
