Counseling Psychology

Master of Arts (MA)

Counseling Psychology is for students seeking a limited license to practice psychology in the State of Michigan, with a focus on counseling and psychotherapy theories and practices, psychopathology, and psychological assessment. The program emphasizes counseling in a variety of mental health settings.

Program Benefits

The Master of Arts programs offered by CECP provide the coursework and supervised counseling experience so that graduates may become eligible to attain licensure in their chosen profession and practice in a variety of settings, including colleges, universities, mental health agencies, hospitals, public and private school systems, and private practice.

  • Program may be completed in two years on a full-time year round enrollment basis
  • Program flexibility allows students to combine graduate work with part-time or full-time employment
