Professor Edward Roth will be presenting at the Midland Section of the American Chemical Society and Coleman Faith United Methodist Church as part of the Concerts in Coleman series. The talk will be "Of Molecules and Melodies: The Neurochemistry of Music" exploring the neurologic components of group music-making. Doors will open at 5:30pm and the event will begin at 6pm. Admission is free with a reception to follow.

Bronco Con is an event for donors and other WMU students and staff to celebrate exciting innovation and projects occurring at Western Michigan University. The BRAIN Lab will represent the College of Fine Arts discussing exciting research in music and creativity, improvisation and neuroscience. The event will be held at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine.

Music, Mind and Medicine: Creativity and Consciousness in Clinical Care was a two-day event that presented and examined the current state of scientific, artistic, and clinical thinking around the use of music in therapy, medicine, and education.

Ed Roth, Dr. Ken Smith, and selected undergraduate students participated in a trip to Montreal to visit Dr. Dan Levitin's lab, the BRAMS Lab, and McGill University as a precursor to Dr. Levitin's visit to WMU the following spring.
