The College is among an elite group of less than five percent of business schools that are accredited at both undergraduate and graduate levels by the American Association of Collegiate Schools of Business and among a select two percent that have additional specialized accreditation for their accountancy programs
- The College has one of the largest undergraduate business programs in the U.S., with nearly 4,000 students, yet maintains small class sizes for a highly customized student experience focused on experiential learning.
- The College is home to several nationally recognized programs, including the following renowned programs:
- The Career Center in Schneider Hall provides dedicated support to business students with specialized resources.
- The College regularly hosts conferences for students, faculty and business leaders to share information and ideas, including the annual Food Marketing Conference, Information Technology Forum and several others.
- The College has the largest Computer Information Systems program in Michigan and is the only one in the state that offers three majors.
- The Accountancy major fulfills the 150+ credit requirement for taking the CPA exam; undergraduate students may take some of these courses at the graduate level, earning credit toward a Master of Science in Accountancy.
- Τhe Personal Financial Planning major is approved by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, meeting the education requirement for taking the CFP certification exam; only four colleges/universities in Michigan offer a CFPcertified major.
- Finance and Personal Financial Planning students manage a portfolio of more than $500,000 of real money in the Student Managed Investment Fund class.
- The Center for Health Information Technology Advancement is a project involving the Department of Business Information Systems and the Bronson School of Nursing, which focuses on facilitating solutions to health care information technology needs. A Health Informatics & Information Management major is under development.
- Students regularly participate in regional, national and international competitions, testing knowledge and networking with fellow students. Several of the College’s student teams receive top marks annually in a variety of competitions.
