Tomika Griffin-Brown is an assistant director of academic advising at Western Michigan University's Haworth College of Business. In this role, she advises undergraduate business students regarding their curriculum, major selection, course offerings, transfer credits and study abroad. Additionally, she oversees the BBA application process and ensures pre-business requirements are met prior to students being accepted into the college of business. Griffin-Brown also manages the BBA Orientation event. She is the staff advisor for the Student Leadership Advisory Board and attends all college curriculum meetings.
Griffin-Brown earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Western Michigan University in April 2004 and her Master of Arts with a concentration in Educational Leadership in Higher Education and Student Affairs in April 2011. Griffin-Brown started her career with WMU in 2008 in the financial aid office as a Bronco Express Services Team representative; she joined the Haworth College of Business as an undergraduate academic advisor in 2011.
Griffin-Brown serves on both the diversity and strategic planning committees for the Haworth College of Business. She also teaches first year experience and academic recovery courses.
She is a native of Detroit.
