Dr. Robert Harrison, assistant professor of marketing at Western Michigan University, researches in the area of consumer culture theory. His research interests include family decision-making, transformative consumer research, experiential shopping and organizational rituals. He has made numerous presentations at national academic conferences and his work has been published in the Journal of Business Research, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Macromarketing, Marketing Theory, Journal of Historical Research in Marketing, Qualitative Market Research, Academy of Marketing Science Review and Preventive Medicine.
Harrison's primary teaching interests include consumer behavior and principles of marketing. He is a member of the Association of Consumer Research and the American Marketing Association. Before pursuing his academic career, Harrison worked as a news reporter for the Kalamazoo Gazette.
