Management professor involved in laser assisted drilling project

Isaac Trumper, from the University of Rochester, in collaboration with the Western Michigan University nanomanufacturing lab, will present the investigation of laser heating for use in drilling and machining of ceramic and semiconductors on Tuesday, May 26 at 5 p.m. in 3150 Schneider Hall.  

Dr. John Mueller, assistant professor of management, worked with WMU engineering faculty to develop a commercialization plan for the technology as part of a $200,000 National Science Foundation grant awarded in early 2015.
