Career Center Mission:
In support of the mission of the Haworth College of Business, The Career Center facilitates career exploration and professional development through innovative programming and advising, empowering students to launch satisfying business careers.

Vision and Core Values:
To be recognized as a leader in the design of value-added career programs that purposefully integrates career development and employment opportunities into business students’ experiences.

This will be accomplished in the following ways:

• Design the career center around two main strategies: career education and development and employment services
• Build unique long-term employer relationships that result in meaningful educational and employment partnerships
• Serve as ambassadors to employers to understand and promote their distinct corporate culture and employment needs to students
• Foster a student-centered environment by proactively assessing needs and continuously improving advising and programming strategies
• Engage students in the professional development process
• Respond to economic changes and to strategic direction of WMU and HCoB
• Collaborate with faculty, employers, and student organizations
• Pursue continuing education, training and credentials that enhance the knowledge, skills, and credibility of the Career Center staff
