Self Assesment

  • Myers-Briggs Type Indicator
  • When you are doing work that uses your natural strengths and preferences, it hardly feels like work - it's interesting, energizing, and even fun. Knowing your type will help you determine what you need in a job for it to be satisfying. Then you can select an occupation or field that is a natural match for you. Finally, use what you know about your natural strengths (and possible blind spots!) to conduct a successful job search and sell yourself in interviews.

  • Know Your Type
  • Each of the 16 MBTI personality types is described along with personality traits and how others may see you. Audio clips included.

  • FOCUS
  • The FOCUS program is self-directed and will help you assess your interests, values and personality preferences and then align them with WMU majors that match your interests. Resources in Focus guide you to explore and compare occupations and link you to major-specific career resource sheets that recommend professional organizations and job search websites. Take a copy of your results to your advising meetings with academic, career, or faculty advisors.
