What is an internship?
In most cases, internships are supervised, on-site work experiences that are directly related to their field(s) of study and/or career goals. Internships can be paid, unpaid, for-credit, or not-for-credit. Solid internships will include an evaluative component, giving students the opportunity to learn from their peers, supervisors, and about themselves.
Value of internship?
Internships are like real-world laboratories in which students can apply classroom learning in professional settings. They allow students to further explore career pathways, learn from industry professionals, and expand their professional network.
