Support the College of Arts and Sciences

Thank you for your interest in contributing to Western Michigan University's College of Arts and Sciences. There are several ways in which you can complete a gift transaction. The most common gift is a cash gift, however gifts may be given in the form of personal property, real estate, stock, bonds or insurance policies. The giving of an appreciated asset can save the donor many dollars in taxes.

Types of gifts:

Your gift can be general or specific:

• a gift to the Dean's Discretionary Fund will allow funding to be directed where it is needed the most in the College.
• a gift to the Dean’s Excellence Fund will allow funding for on- and off-campus academic and experiential activities possible for students throughout the College
• your gift may be designated for an individual department, program or scholarship
• special projects that your contributions can make possible, including:
  • Faculty Chairs (positions)
  • Scholarships
  • Research support for undergraduates
  • Special facilities

By Check:

Make checks payable to the WMU Foundation and write College of Arts and Sciences in the memo section. If you are designating your gift to a specific department, program or project, please include that name in the memo section. Mail check to:

By Credit Card, Online:

Make a gift using VISA, MasterCard, or Discover credit cards.

By Electronic Transfer:

Make gifts or pledge payments by direct electronic transfer from your checking or savings account at any U.S. bank, savings and loan, or credit union.

With Matching Gifts:

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees.
