If you are planning to hold your event at the Bernhard Center, call (269) 387-4860. Details concerning the estimated number of guests, table arrangements, audiovisual requirements and room set up will be discussed at this time.
We want to give you the finest service, so it is important that you book your date, closely estimate your attendance and plan your menu with as much notice as possible.
Complete catering services are available at the site of your choice. An off-site service charge of 20% will be assessed to all off-premise events.
Any deliveries and events booked within 36 hours will be assessed an additional 1.5% charge.
Many buildings on campus have different hours of operation. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that we will have timely access to the building and the location within the building. In the event that we are unable to enter the building or the room, additional costs will be incurred and will be added to the final bill.
Your menu details should be finalized with the WMU Catering office at least four weeks in advance. A contract will be provided for your approval and signature. The contract will list all catering arrangements and applicable charges.
If you select to offer your guests a choice of two entrees, please note that the higher entree price will be charged for both selections. You will be asked to provide a count of each entree seven business days prior to your event. To indicate each guest's menu selection, name tags, place cards or another designation must be provided at each place setting at the event.
White tablecloths and white napkins are provided for all full service meals. It is standard policy to skirt all serving and head tables. Tablecloths are available for rental if used for any other event in or out of the Bernhard Center. Call (269) 387-4868 for size and pricing. Colored tablecloths and napkins are also available at an additional charge.
We will provide a state certified bartending staff for your function for an additional fee of $25/hour (three hours). Arrangements must be made one week in advance. Please contact WMU Catering at (269) 387-4868 regarding prices for the following services:
Please contact Tim Kellogg at (269) 387-4827 to obtain a liquor form or access the form online. WMU Catering must have this form five business days prior to your event.
Special equipment rental arrangements must be made with the WMU Catering staff for an addtional cost. Delivery and pick-up times should be prearranged within the hours determined by the host facility. WMU Catering cannot be held responsible for damage or loss.
