Opportunities for professional and social interaction on the campus include participation in student chapters of professional engineering organizations such as the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Association of General Contractors. There is also a wide range of social and athletic opportunities available, found on the Student Life homepage 
of the Division of Student Affairs. Many other opportunities are available through the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. These can be found on the Student Resources section of the College homepage.

Student Chapter hosted and competed in the 2010 ASCE NCRC Competition
- Our team competed in concrete canoe and steel bridge events
- Canoe team placed 2nd overall, 1st place in oral presentation and 3rd place in aesthetics category
- This year was our second Steel Bridge entry and the team successfully completed the assembly
