Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology

The Department of Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology in the College of Education and Human Development offers professional education in the fields of counselor education and counseling psychology. Program options in counselor education include: clinical mental health counseling; college counseling; marriage, couple and family counseling; school counseling; and rehabilitation counseling.

jerry-mclaughlinDr. Jerry McLaughlin has article in press in the Journal of Systemic Therapies
Dr. Jerry McLaughlin, Faculty Specialist in the Department of Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology, has an article in press in the Journal of Systemic Therapies.   The article is titled “Post-structuralism in group theory and practice.” The work contrasts structuralist and post-structuralist modes of group therapy theory and practice; and details some post-structural ideas that seem most promising in terms of enriching group theory and practice.
