RSS Logo What is an RSS Feed?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication . It's an easy, no-hassle way of getting late-breaking news in your field of study or research delivered automatically to you. An RSS reader automatically lets you view the news you sign up for, just like e-mail.

There are many readers available for download, both free and for a fee. See the (External) Google Directory list of newsreaders for a good list to choose from. Once you either sign up for free reader, all you do is copy and paste a web address into it and you'll automatically receive news related to that topic. The reader automatically checks for new content and delivers it to you via your RSS reader.

This is a pilot program, the URL prefix: http://libproxy.library.wmich.edu/login?url=will need to be added to the URL of the content in order to properly authenticate and connect to the resource.

This is a smattering of feeds found while going through our database A-Z list. It is in no way a complete list.
