Graduate-level environmental chemistry courses
Department research takes collaboration from a wide range of fields and includes environmental chemistry with a focus on the integration of:
The mechanisms of action and systems through which chemical substances cycle in the environment have been the subject of research at WMU for nearly twenty years. This legacy provided a basis from which strategic national and international collaborations have been built to encourage the development of research networks at more than fifty institutions world-wide. Students at all levels have benefited from these extended research relationships-building careers in atmospheric, biospheric, and hydrogeologic sciences as well as emerging areas of nanotechnology and chemical biology.
See the faculty profiles for information on current research efforts which also enrich the curriculum through existing courses and independent study opportunities.
