Undergraduate Scholarships

Chrystal Grady Home Economics Scholarship

The Chrystal Grady scholarship is given in recognition of outstanding academic achievement.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Student must be a junior or senior officially enrolled in a Family and Consumer Sciences related departmental curriculum during the year of the scholarship application and award and must have completed substantial course work at Western Michigan University and in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences.
2. Student must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
3. Student may not have previously received this scholarship.

Applicants Must

1. Complete the application form.
2. Attach other university transcripts and two faculty recommendations (at least one from a Family and Consumer Sciences faculty member).
3. Submit these to:

Norman E. Slack Endowed Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

1. The applicant must be a junior or senior majoring in Interior Design during the year of the scholarship application and award.
2. The applicant must be a full-time student.
3. The award is primarily based on financial need, evidence of artistic talent and/or extra curricular activities within the department.
4. The award is for one academic year and is non-renewable.

Applicants Must

1. Complete the application form.
2. Complete and sign the Scholarship Applicant section of the FINANCIAL INFORMATION SUMMARY (This form will be forwarded to the WMU Financial Aid Office by the FCS department).
3. Compose a one paragraph profile describing your professional goals and/or ambitions.
4. Attach other university transcripts and two faculty recommendations (at least one from a Family and Consumer Sciences faculty member).
5. Submit these to:
