University 1020 is a one-credit hour career class developed by faculty at Counseling Services. The class is also coordinated by faculty.
You will learn to:
• Enhance your career decision making skills
• Identify your values, self-concept, skills and personal strengths
• Develop your interviewing skills
• Create a resume and cover letter
• Recognize career myths used to eliminate career options
• Utilize internet career search resources
You will do the following:
• Research careers and evaluate career options
• Take a career test
• Complete an online skills assessment
• Register with BRONCOJOBS
• Interview professionals in different career fields
• Develop an action plan to help achieve your career goals
