Pacifica dinner poster

Western Michigan University Dining Services celebrates the taste of Southeast Asia with a special event dinner borrowing flavors from Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, the Philippines and Malaysia. Students, university employees and guests are invited to the residence hall dining rooms on April 2 from 4 to 8 p.m. to share in a host of dishes that reflects a mixture of unique ingredients from the Southeast Asian region. Appetizers and soup options include: Wonton shrimp (Pan-Asian), vegetable pot stickers (Pan-Asian), a vegetarian pho station and a Vietnamese noodle soup (Vietnam). There are a variety of hearty entreés to choose from, including: beef rendang (Indonesia), chicken satay (Indonesia) and tofu pad Thai with peanuts (Thailand). Sides featured are: nasi minyak, or rice (Malaysia) and stir-fried greens (Thailand). Desserts served are a banana coconut pudding (Cambodia) and cassava cake (Philippines).

All guests are welcome for dinner at any of the five dining room locations on campus.

Excellent food for excellent minds!
