Out at WMU Faces of Pride

Are you a current WMU student, faculty or staff? Complete the following form to be considered for the 2015 OUT at WMU - Faces of Pride poster campaign. The poster will feature individuals from our campus community who self-identify as part of the lesbian, bisexual, gay, transgender and ally (LBGTA) community. Through visibility we are able to celebrate the diversity that exists in our community and educate our campus about the importance of LBGTA-inclusion.

We seek to compose a poster that reflects the diversity of our campus community. Participants will be selected based on available space, diversity of identities and university roles. Participant form submissions will be accepted through March 31 or until the poster is full.

Safe on Campus Training

Celebrate the Day of Silence, Week of Action with us!

Participants receive information on practical strategies to support LBGT people who are coming out, explore the complexities of sex, gender, and sexual orientation, and gain an understanding of respectful language use. Participants may choose to become members of the Safe On Campus (SOC) program by signing a pledge of support for LBGT people. SOC members are given a door sign to display in their campus living or work place. This indicates the space is safe for LBGT persons to discuss their concerns. SOC facilitators may be invited to residence halls, student organizations, and classrooms. Membership is always optional.
