Arthur H. Hupp Endowed Memorial Scholarship

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Be admitted to WMU as a degree-seeking student majoring in engineering;
  • Be enrolled full time;
  • Have displayed consistent part-time work experience during their high school years;
  • Have attained a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50 at the time of application.  Incoming freshmen will use their high school GPA.
  • Demonstrated financial need.

Preference shall be given to Watervliet High School graduates.

Supporting material to include a resume and a letter of support from a current or former employer.

Award Amount:

One award of approximately $1,500 per academic year (depending on funding availability).  One half of the award to be given in the fall semester and one half during the spring semester.

The scholarship funds shall be credited directly to the recipient’s student account and shall be available for tuition, fees, room and board and books.

Continuance:

The scholarship is renewable provided the recipient remains a full-time undergraduate student in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, maintains a 2.5 GPA and demonstrates financial need and satisfactory academic progress.  To a freshman, the scholarship shall be renewable for a maximum of three years; to a sophomore, a maximum of Iwo years; and a junior, a maximum of one year.
