
The following scholarships are available to students in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. This is not a complete list and many scholarships are available outside of the college. Eligibility requirements apply. College of Engineering and Applied Sciences Policy for Scholarship Allocation – Pilot Spring 2013
Objective
Student scholarship money arising from the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences differential tuition allocated based on the number of students in CEAS exploratory or undeclared will be used to retain students.
Criteria
Students will have at least a 2.75 GPA at WMU Students in CEAS Exploratory will have earned a B or better in Algebra II in Fall 2012 and have advanced to pre-engineering or pre-engineering technology Students have demonstrated financial need Allocation Process
Any full-time student in the college who on 1/15/13 is not enrolled in a specific departmental program or was enrolled in fall 2012 in CEAS Exploraoty is eligible to submit an application for the scholarship

The award will be for spring 2013 and will be a minimum of $1000.

Award: approximately $1,500 per academic year (depending on funding availability)

College of Engineering and Applied Sciences Endowed Scholarship
Award: $1,000 to $5,000 per academic year for each of four years
Application due March 1
College of Engineering and Applied Sciences Multicultural Scholarship
Award: Ten (10) scholarship recipients at $2,000/year ($1,000 in each fall and spring semesters), renewable for up to 4 years, totaling $8,000 each

Award: $250 - $500 for fall and winter semesters

College of Engineering and Applied Sciences Transfer Scholarship
Award: Up to eight (8) scholarship recipients at $6,000 ($3,000/year), awarded four semesters (fall/spring) or until graduation, whichever comes first.
There is no separate application needed, all transfer students will be considered for this scholarship.
E. Bruce and Eleanor Pierce Dewey Scholarship
Award: $500 annual award
Applications with supporting material are due November 30 for the Spring Semester
Edward Ravitz Memorial Scholarship in Construction Engineering
Award: $1,500 per academic year for 4 academic years
Applications with supporting material are due March 1
General Dynamics Land Systems Academic Excellence Award
Award: $1,000 per academic year, renewable for one year
Applications with supporting material are due March 1
George E. Kohrman Scholarship
Award: $1,500
Application due March 1
Kenneth Knight Scholarhip
The award will be up to $5,000 per year for each of four scholarships and may be renewed for one additional year.
