Scholarships and Financial Aid

Scholarships are awarded each year by the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences to outstanding students enrolled in four-year curricula within the college. Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
Talent Expansion Program (STEP)

Many of the future jobs in the USA will be in the area of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), but many students have a difficult time making the transition from high school to university degrees in these fields.

That is why WMU has implemented the STEM Talent Expansion Program (STEP) funded by the National Science Foundation. The focus of STEP is to improve the success rate for first-year STEM students and ultimately increase the number of students that graduate with degrees in these fields. The main components of STEP are living and learning communities aimed at providing students with the support and resources needed for success. [more]

WMU offers many on-campus activities and events to assist students in finding a career. There are also many jobs available for students during school. [more]


Student Organizations

The college has more than 25 student organizations, and many are affiliated with professional societies. These groups provide opportunities for students to meet with professionals in their field, develop teamwork and leadership skills, and network with other students who have similar interests. [more]

Study Abroad Opportunities
