1100: Literary Interpretation (4) (Prerequisite: grade of B in ENGL 1050, or equivalent)
Students are encouraged to elect the following courses:
before taking courses in the "Required" part of the major.

Students who use 4720 to satisfy requirement III.B may not use that course to satisfy this requirement.
D. At least two of the following courses:
Students who use 4520 to satisfy requirement III.C may not use that course to satisfy this requirement.
At least one additional English course at the 2000, 3000, 4000, or 5000 level to complete the major unless an elective course has already been taken under II. above. The following courses cannot be used for this purpose: 1000, 1050, 1070, 1110, 1120, 3070, 3080, 3110 or 4800.
Minimum of two semesters of a modern or classical foreign language at the college level, or two years of such study at the high school level. One year at the high school level coupled with the second semester of the same language at the college level is also satisfactory.
