How to apply to WMU Fine Arts

We are so excited for you to join us! First, let's make sure we have everything we need from you to get started. To major in the College of Fine Arts, you must apply and be accepted into both the College and Western Michigan University.

Step 1: Apply to WMU

You can apply online at wmich.edu/apply or through the Common App.

Step 2: Apply to your program

Apply to your program of study. You do not have to wait until you are admitted by WMU to apply to your program.

Step 3: Audition, interview or portfolio review

Once you have submitted your application to your art or performance program, you will need to audition, interview or undergo a portfolio review to be accepted.

How do you know your art portfolio is ready to submit?

The Gwen Frostic School of Art

Portfolio reviews for all programs are conducted online through Slideroom.
