Bio

Dr. Joetta Carr transferred to Western Michigan University's Department of Gender and Women's Studies a few years ago after 12 years as  faculty in the former WMU Counseling and Testing Center, where she conducted psychotherapy and group therapy with students and trained interns. Her scholarly writing has focused on sexual violence prevention and treatment and more recently, the worldwide political movement to stop rape—the SlutWalk movement.
