Dr. Metro-Roland is co-editor of the book Landscape, Tourism, and Meaning and is completing a monograph entitled Culture In Place: Tourists, Signs And The City for Ashgate. This work explores the touristscape, that is, the interplay between the urban landscape and tourist sites. She is a founding member of the Landscape Specialty Group of the Association of American Geographers and serves as its secretary.
