Geography Secondary Education Minor

Western Michigan University's secondary education program focuses on the formal education of adolescents. Michigan Secondary Certification requires a teachable major and minor that will lead to a teaching credential for sixth through 12th grades. Geography, in the Department of Geography, is one of those minors.

Required courses

As a secondary education student at WMU, you will be required to complete a two-semester internship under the mentorship of selected teachers in partnership schools and teacher educators from WMU.
