OBJECTIVES:

  • Quantitative Overview: The purpose of this presentation is to demonstrate the use of quantitative research methods. The research process will be summarized and the importance of a strong research design will be highlighted. The concepts will be illustrated through a practical example.
  • Qualitative Overview: Qualitative methods can be very beneficial in both mixed and single method research projects. This presentation will address the appropriate settings for qualitative methods and the advantages of using them. It will also summarize the various qualitative approaches available and highlight the skills necessary for carrying out successful qualitative endeavors.
