Counselor Education - College Counseling

Master of Arts (MA)

The College Counseling program emphasizes counseling with college students and prepares students for careers as counselors in community colleges, four-year colleges and universities.
Program does require some courses to be completed on the main campus in Kalamazoo.

Program Benefits

Graduates of this program will be able to:

  • Accents college student development, individual and group counseling, ethics, philosophy of college counseling, and student service delivery systems in higher education.
  • The program meets the educational requirements for the Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Michigan and for the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) accreditation.
