When you first come to the Health Center, you'll start with the receptionist on the main floor, check in at registration, then come upstairs to the Counseling Center for a short intake meeting with a counselor. After this meeting, another appointment will be scheduled at the first mutually convenient time available.
Please inform the receptionist if your situation requires immediate attention. Special arrangements will be made for you to meet with a counselor as soon as possible.

If you need to speak with someone during non-business hours, you can contact a phone counselor at the Gryphon Place Help Line at (269) 381-HELP (4357). Gryphon Place is a 24-hour help line that offers phone crisis counseling and general referral information.
If you feel you need to meet with a mental health counselor, you may do so at the Borgess Medical Center Emergency Room at 1521 Gull Road. Borgess Medical Center Emergency Room can be reached at (269) 226-4815. Borgess provides immediate psychiatric assessment and treatment 24 hours a day.
