Notice of Fee Increase for Dietitian Services (posted Nov. 1, 2013)
Effective December 1, 2013, the charges for dietitian services that Sindecuse Health Center bills to your commercial insurance plan will increase. Please ask a staff member if you have questions.
Proper nutrition is a key to physical health, emotional well-being and academic success. What we eat impacts our health today, tomorrow and far into the future. A healthy diet can make us feel good, increase our resistance to illness and help prevent chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and some forms of cancer.
Registered dietitians are available by appointment to help you assess your eating patterns and assist you in designing a food management plan.
Specialty areas include:
- Nutrition for optimal health
- Medical nutrition therapy for heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and other health concerns
- Eating disorders
- Sports nutrition
- Vegetarian food planning
- Weight management
- Computerized nutrition assessment

Western Michigan University employees and their eligible dependents covered by University insurance (PPO Group #007005281) will have the total cost covered through this policy.
