Part-Time Instructor Qualifications

Western Michigan University's Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary health services program occasionally seeks individuals to teach on a part-time basis who meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • M.S. or M.A. or equivalent
  • Clinical or administrative experience in health care

Course topics include:

  • Pharmacology for health professionals
  • Legal issues in health and human services
  • Principles of health finance
  • Administrative functions in health care
  • Planning in health services
  • U.S. policy in health and human services
  • Growth development and aging
  • Health services practice management
  • The health system and its environment
  • Major issues in health and human services
  • Seminar for internship in health and human services
