The CHHS offers a number of half-time doctoral associateships that provide partial tuition and a modest stipend during the first two years of required coursework. These half-time DA appointments carry a work requirement of 10 hours per week, generally providing research assistance under the mentorship of a faculty member. The work may be completed at a distance.
WMU also offers assistance for historically underrepresented students and a variety of competitive grants. Information about these University-wide forms of aid is available from the WMU Graduate College. Information about student loans and other federal, state, and WMU need-based programs, including timelines and deadlines, can be found at WMU Financial Aid.
