John Josten Alumni Scholarships
Eligibility Criteria:
- Student(s) in good standing (minimum 3.0 GPA) in the PA program
- Demonstrated “unmet need” for financial assistance
Note: Scholarships are awarded annually to students admitted to the WMU Physician Assistant program. One scholarship is awarded to a first year student (after completion of two semesters) and one to a second year student. This scholarship was established to honor the first director of the Physician Assistant Program at WMU.

Helen Elizabeth Gibbens Physician Assistant Scholarship Fund
Eligibility Criteria:
- Student(s) in good standing (minimum 3.0 GPA) after completion of two semesters in the WMU Physician Assistant program
- Demonstrated “unmet need” for financial assistance
Note: This scholarship will be awarded annually. It was established to honor Helen Elizabeth Gibbens, a former Sindecuse Health Center nurse.
Award Amount: Dependent upon fund accumulation
