When I retired in 1998, I met a historical geographer with an interest in agricultural history – Charles Heller. Since then we have collaborated in a series of 5 published articles that explore topics that deserve more attention. At present we (and Dr. Lynn Houghton) are looking at women farm operators tentatively titled “Some farmers wore dresses.”
I also serve on two university committee: Friends of the Library and the Emeriti Council. Carolyn and I have been married 61 years and have three children and 4 grandchildren.
