History Department Welcomes Andrea Berto to the Faculty
Dr. Luigi Andrea Berto earned his PhD from the University of Venice in 2001. He is a specialist of the Early Medieval period and his thesis topic was “War and Violence in Early Medieval Chronicles of Southern Italy.” He is the author of three books published in Italy, numerous articles and has presented papers at nearly a dozen conferences in Europe and the United States. Before coming to WMU, Dr. Berto taught at SUNY Binghamton, the University of Michigan, and Rutgers University.
