2014 Homecoming King and Queen


Registered Student Organizations and University Departments may select one King and one Queen candidate to apply for a chance to represent their group on the 2014 Homecoming Court.

Applications are due October 3 at 5 p.m.

King and Queen Qualifications

  • Must be nominated by a Registered Student Organization or University Department.
  • Must be enrolled in the 2014-15 Academic Year as a WMU full-time student.
  • Must be a WMU student of junior status or above (56+ completed credit hours).
  • Must have a 2.85 cumulative GPA or higher and not be under any academic or disciplinary probation (no exceptions regardless of circumstances).
  • Must fill out an application and provide everything that is requested.
  • To be nominated by RSO, the RSO must be registered to participate in the Bronco Cup Competition Homecoming event. If the nominating RSOs candidate is chosen for the 2014 Homecoming Court and the RSO fails to participate, it may result in the removal of that court member at the discretion of the 2014 Homecoming Committee.

Voting is open from Monday, October 20 @ 9 am to Friday, October 24 @ noon. The eight court members will attend all of the Homecoming 2014 events leading up to the coronation ceremony on Saturday, October 25 during the Half-Time Show.

  • Attend university events during Homecoming and participate in the Homecoming Half-Time festivities.
  • Free service on game-day courtesy of HQ Salon & Spa.
  • Homecoming promotion bag.
  • VIP seating at all Homecoming events.
  • Free admittance to all CAB events ($1.00 events) for the remainder of the academic year. Passes not valid for larger ticket events in Miller Auditorium.

Duties of the 2014 King and Queen

Participate in 50 hours of community service for a non-profit organization within the Kalamazoo community of his/her choice by the end of the 2014-15 academic year. Completion of community service form is necessary to determine the legitimacy of the hours completed.
