
[Hall Director] [Graduate Assistant Hall Director] [How to Apply]
WMU Hall Directors are full-time, live in professionals with a 12-month contract. They supervise staffs from seven to 22 resident assistants, and all but one HD supervises a Graduate Assistant. Buildings are all coed and range from 400 to 550 students. Primary HD resposibilities include supervising staff, creating a living and learning environment, adjudicating student conduct, responding to student issues and administrating their hall. A masters degree in higher education or related field is strongly encouraged.

WMU Graduate Assistant Hall Directors are part time live-in professionals responsible for assisting the Hall Director. GAs are primarily responsible for advising the hall council and supervising the front desk, including training, hiring, firing and scheduling student workers. Graduate Assistant Hall Directors also provide the main thrust in setting the hall’s program agenda and have an opportunity to gain exposure by working on departmental wide committees. A bachelor’s degree is required for this position.
