Admission Requirements for Master of Arts in Coaching Sport Performance

  1. Go to Graduate Admissions and follow the procedures for a general application.
  2. Submit a sealed official transcript from each institution attended directly to Western Michigan University's Office of Admissions.
  3. Submit the following required application materials directly to the Coaching Sport Performance program:
    1. A letter of intent to include education, experience and career goals.
    2. A current resume
    3. Two letters of reference PDF
      1. For "Degree Sought", please enter "M.A."
      2. For "Name of the graduate program to which you are applying", please enter "Coaching Sport Performance".

Mail the letter of intent, the current resume and the two letters of reference directly to:

Application deadlines

All application materials must be received by the dates listed. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed for possible admissions.

Admission decisions

Once your application is complete, it will be reviewed and you will be notified by letter of the decision for admission.

International applicants

Applications from international students are initially processed by the Office of International Student Services (OISS) at WMU. All required application materials may be sent directly to OISS. Once your application materials are complete, OISS will forward your information to the HPHE Department for review.
