Computer Controlled Manufacturing Lab

CCM/CIM Lab is located in Room # F-208 Parkview campus. The lab facilities includes manufacturing automation and integration technologies both hardware & software. The lab provides support undergraduate and graduate instructional & research activities. Among the equipment table top robots, CNC mills and CNC lathes, programmable logic controllers (PLC), data acquisition (DAQ) systems and a vision system.

The undergraduate students in industrial engineering program use the lab for series of manufacturing automation related laboratory experiments & projects. Over the last eighteen years students groups have designed automated manufacturing cells as part of their class semester projects. The lab is also equipped with software tools such as RS Logix 500, Labview, PART, VALISYS (from Tecnomatix Technologies). Several graduate students have conducted research using these tools.
