Dr. Chen joined WMU in 2001. He has been involved in information systems teaching and research since the early 90's. Dr. Chen is specialized in electronic commerce. He has developed MIS and E-commerce courses and concentrations at several universities. He teaches online privacy topics (e.g., privacy protection and Phishing) to business students. Chen's research interests include electronic commerce, online behavioral issues (privacy, interactivity, and security), applied artificial intelligence, data mining techniques, WWW security, and digital watermarking. Chen's research appeared in MIS journals, multi-disciplinary journals and refereed conference proceedings, including IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, Information & Management, Communications of the AIS, Journal of E-Business, Journal of Computer Information Systems, and many others. He also serves on the editorial board of Journal of Website Promotion.
In addition to being a CIS advisor, Chen is the coordinator of the BIS internship and scholarship programs.
